Stowa – Prodiver Mauritius Limited

The Prodiver Mauritius Limited represents the pinnacle of the Prodiver dive watch series, produced in a limited edition of only 100 pieces. This model was awarded "Diver's Watch of the Year 2021" by watchtime.net readers. It is characterized by a distinctive dial in sea turquoise (Pantone 304), evoking the clear waters around Mauritius.

The 42mm case is made of lightweight, matte titanium, complemented by a ceramic rotating bezel and protective sapphire crystal. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 ATM (1,000 meters), also featuring a helium valve and a solid case back – elements that underscore its technical quality and robustness as a diving instrument. It is powered by a Sellita SW 200 automatic movement in "top grade" quality, and the hands are black with Super-LumiNova BGW9 luminescence for excellent readability even in the dark.

The STOWA brand is one of the most significant representatives of German watchmaking, with roots dating back to 1927 when it was founded in the Black Forest by Walter Storz. The name STOWA was formed by combining the first letters of the founder's surname and first name – "STO" and "WA" – and quickly became a symbol of precise watchmaking craftsmanship. Already in the 1930s, the brand made a name for itself with elegant models inspired by the then-modern Bauhaus style, which also gave rise to the later famous Antea series.

A pivotal period came in the 1940s when STOWA began producing its legendary pilot watches – the so-called Flieger. These large and highly legible timepieces were intended for pilots (or navigators) and became one of the pillars of the brand's history. Along with several other manufacturers, STOWA was among the five companies that supplied original pilot watches for the German air force. The Flieger are still considered icons today, and the brand continues this tradition with modern reissues that maintain their original character and aesthetics.

After the war, STOWA continued to produce functional and elegant watches, including marine chronometers, which inspired today's Marine series. In the 1990s, a new chapter began when watchmaker Jörg Schauer took over the brand. Under his leadership, STOWA successfully returned to the scene and began producing not only pilot models but also timeless classics such as Antea, Partitio, and Marine, which today combine historical roots with modern technology and precise craftsmanship.
