The Seiko Prospex SLA071 is a limited edition created for the 30th anniversary of the Landmaster series, designed for demanding outdoor expeditions and extreme conditions. This model continues the tradition of robust Seiko tool watches, combining technical durability with modern craftsmanship and precise Japanese watchmaking.
The 42mm diameter case is made of titanium with a special "super-hard coating" surface treatment that increases scratch resistance while maintaining the watch's light weight. The watch is equipped with a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and a bi-directionally rotating bezel with a compass scale, which can help with orientation in the field. Water resistance reaches 200 meters, ensuring high durability even in challenging conditions.
A distinctive feature of the model is the blue gradient dial with a texture inspired by the view of the sky from the summit of Mount Everest. Large applied indices and hands with LumiBrite luminescence ensure perfect readability even in low light conditions.
Inside the watch beats the in-house automatic Seiko Caliber 8L35 movement, assembled at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
The SLA071 model was produced in a limited series of only 1,000 pieces worldwide, with each piece having the limited edition marking and individual serial number engraved on the case back. Thanks to the combination of technical functionality, a lightweight titanium case, and limited production, it is one of the attractive collector's models in the Seiko Prospex collection.
