The Louis Erard x Vianney Halter limited edition represents the result of the second collaboration between these two legendary brands.

The Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Vianney Halter II returns to the scene in a new, elegant form. It retains its unmistakable design and iconic "electric blue" heat-blued steel hands, but now comes with a monochromatic silver dial. This time, it's not just about launching a new edition, but a worldwide tour with exclusive stops in various cities, where individual variants will only be available in a limited number of pieces. Each stop brings its own color-coded second hand and a unique engraving on the case back with the motto "Live Long and Prosper" in the language of that city.

The model brings a host of interesting details. The new monochromatic dial with matching sub-dials is complemented by a blue leather strap that matches the blued steel hands. A total of 178 pieces of the basic monochromatic edition will be created, and another 178 pieces will be divided into small limited drops of 18 to 25 pieces, which will be released in individual cities as part of the tour.

Each city has its own color-coded second hand and an individual engraving of the motto on the case back, making each piece a unique collector's item. The watch's design is based on Vianney Halter's legendary Antiqua model and features typical steampunk elements with an industrial touch. Characteristic features include a riveted bezel, red gold-plated rivets, a crown positioned unconventionally at 2 o'clock, and decentralized sub-dials with separate hour, minute, and second displays.

The craftsmanship meets high haute horlogerie standards – including polished and diamond-cut edges, as well as a combination of circular and vertical brushing.

Le Régulateur II is not just a watch. It is a collector's experience and a manifesto of creativity. Each color variant represents a different stop on the world tour, and no edition will be reproduced. This project combines Louis Erard's precision with Vianney Halter's visionary approach, transforming each new version release into an exclusive event.

Vianney Halter was born in 1963 on the outskirts of Paris, the son of a train driver for the French railways. Even as a child, he was fascinated by the old machines and mechanical devices his father brought home. Perhaps this early contact with powerful locomotives, steam engines, and other measuring instruments is why he was drawn to technology and mechanics.

At fourteen, Vianney Halter decided to expand his interest in mechanics and went to Paris, where he enrolled at the École Horlogère de Paris (Paris Watchmaking School). He successfully completed it in 1980 and spent the first ten years of his career restoring antique watches and clocks, which provided him with a deep knowledge of the art of horology.

Since 1984, he has worked as an independent watchmaker and began creating timepieces for well-known brands such as Harry Winston, Breguet, and Audemars Piguet. Since 1998, he has also been designing and developing his own collection of wristwatches. His designs are considered avant-garde and are seen as the beginning of a new direction in horology. Vianney Halter creates unusual watches using traditional methods of master watchmakers from the past, but with a unique aesthetic, his own technical patents, and unique constructions.

All of this is illustrated by his first model, "Antiqua", an perpetual calendar, which was presented in 1998. This model was immediately considered a "relic of the future", which strengthened Halter's creativity and allowed him to join the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI).

His years as an independent watchmaker and his contribution to modern horology have already earned him nine prestigious awards. He has created about ten models of wristwatches, but their high production complexity means that their production is secret. Vandaag, fewer than 500 pieces of watches by Vianney Halter have been produced.

The quality of his expertise has also secured him a place among the personalities listed in the official "White Book" (Livre Blanc) of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, which aims to define the boundaries of the exclusive circle surrounding technical and valuable precision watchmaking.
