BA111OD Chapter 7 Chronometer

A Swiss chronometer for every day. Precision confirmed by the Geneva Observatory.

The Chapter 7 Chronometer marks an important milestone for BA111OD – it is the brand’s first model with official chronometer certification. Its sporty-elegant design, integrated bracelet, 100-meter water resistance, and, above all, individually tested accuracy make it a watch that performs just as well in the office as it does on an active weekend.

The 316L steel case features a diameter of 40 mm, a height of 10.5 mm, and a 47 mm lug-to-lug distance. The characteristic faceted bezel and the combination of satin-brushed and polished surfaces play with light and emphasize the modern architecture of the watch. The crown is uniquely positioned at four o'clock, and the dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating.

Certified precision

Inside beats a Swiss automatic caliber Soprod P024 with 25 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve. Every movement undergoes individual testing by the Observatoire Chronométrique de Genève – TIMELAB and achieves a certified accuracy of −4/+6 seconds per day.

For this reason, every watch comes with its own chronometric measurement report and an individual certificate confirming the accuracy achieved.

Furthermore, the Chapter 7 is Swiss Made, designed and assembled directly in Neuchâtel. The automatic movement can be viewed through the sapphire case back, and the 100-meter water resistance allows the watch to be used for swimming without concern.

Choices include a sportier rubber strap with a double folding clasp or an integrated steel bracelet with tool-free micro-adjustment.

Four colors, four characters

All variants share a sunray dial with a characteristic cascading pattern that creates depth and changes its appearance depending on the light. The faceted indices are treated with Super-LumiNova.

Forest Green
The deep green version is one of the most striking variants in the collection. The sunray finish, combined with the cascading structure, brings out various shades of green – from darker forest tones to more vibrant green reflections. A sporty color that still feels elegant thanks to the steel case and bracelet.

Absolute Blue
Deep blue is perhaps the most classic color choice for the Chapter 7. The sunray surface highlights the dial's structure and shifts from dark blue to more vibrant shades depending on the light. A versatile option that works well on both the steel bracelet and the rubber strap.

Frost Blue
The lightest and airiest version in the collection. The ice-blue shade gives the technical design of the Chapter 7 a fresher and more contemporary character, while allowing the cascading structure of the dial to stand out beautifully. An ideal choice for those who want something less traditional than a classic dark blue.

Jet Black
The purest and most technical variant. The black sunray dial creates an almost monochromatic look, allowing the geometry of the case, the faceted indices, and the structure of the dial itself to stand out more. The result is a versatile yet distinctly modern Chapter 7.

Why choose the Chapter 7 Chronometer?

Because it offers a very compelling combination of certified chronometric precision, a Swiss Made automatic movement, sapphire crystal, 100-meter water resistance, and a sophisticated sporty-elegant design.

And the chronometric certification here is not just an inscription on the dial. Each piece is individually tested and delivered with its own report and certificate.

About the brand

BA111OD is an independent Swiss watch brand founded by Thomas Baillod in 2019. Its name is derived from the Baillod surname, which has roots in the Neuchâtel watchmaking tradition dating back to 1775. The brand was founded with the ambition to offer authentic Swiss mechanical watches in a different way – with a strong signature design, a more direct relationship with customers, and an emphasis on ensuring that high-quality watchmaking is not reserved only for traditional luxury brands.

The Chapter 7 embodies this philosophy perhaps better than any other BA111OD model. It is a gateway to the world of Swiss mechanical watchmaking, but it certainly does not feel like an "entry-level" watch. It offers a genuine automatic Swiss movement, sapphire crystal, thoughtful design, hand-assembly in Neuchâtel, and, above all, a character of its own.
