The Chapter 7 Skeleton Anthracite takes the sporty-elegant BA111OD collection in a more technical direction. The signature case with an integrated bracelet remains, but the classic dial is replaced by an open skeletonized construction that highlights the mechanics of the automatic movement.

The result is not a watch that simply shows the movement under the dial. The mechanics become an integral part of the design itself.

Skeleton as architecture

The open dial utilizes several types of surface finishes. Vertical brushing is complemented by polished facets and sandblasted surfaces between the indices, creating contrast and depth even without a traditional dial. The construction also deliberately reveals the rubies and other parts of the mechanism.

The faceted indices are equipped with Super-LumiNova, ensuring the watch maintains good legibility despite its open architecture.

Anthracite from case to bracelet

The 40 mm steel case has received an anthracite PVD coating, which continues onto the integrated bracelet. The dark finish further emphasizes the combination of brushed, polished, and sandblasted details, giving the Chapter 7 a significantly more modern, almost industrial character.

The case has a height of 10.5 mm and a 47 mm lug-to-lug, so it retains pleasant proportions despite its bold look. The crown is typically positioned at four o'clock, the front is protected by sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating, and the water resistance is 100 meters.

The integrated steel bracelet is equipped with a folding clasp with tool-free micro-adjustment, so its length can be easily fine-tuned directly on the wrist.

Swiss mechanics from both sides

Inside, a skeletonized automatic Soprod P024 movement works with 25 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. The movement is visible not only through the open dial but also through the sapphire case back.

The watch is Swiss Made, designed and assembled in the BA111OD workshop in Neuchâtel. The Chapter 7 Skeleton thus combines contemporary Swiss sport-chic design with mechanics you can actually watch at work.

BA111OD is an independent Swiss watch brand founded by Thomas Baillod in 2019. Its name is derived from the Baillod surname, which has roots in the Neuchâtel watchmaking tradition dating back to 1775. The brand was created with the ambition to offer authentic Swiss mechanical watches in a different way – with a strong original design, a more direct relationship with customers, and an emphasis on ensuring that quality watchmaking is not reserved only for traditional luxury brands.
