    Zeitwinkel 273°

One of Zeitwinkel's most distinctive models. A big date, proprietary movement, and an unmistakable design.

The Zeitwinkel 273° is one of the models that best embodies the philosophy of the small Swiss manufacture from Saint-Imier. At first glance, it captivates with its unusual dial architecture featuring a patented big date at 11 o'clock, a power reserve indicator, and a small seconds sub-dial.

The asymmetrical arrangement is striking, yet surprisingly harmonious. The big date consists of two separate apertures and uses numerals from Zeitwinkel's own typeface. Furthermore, the date can be easily adjusted with a quick correction via the crown.

The watch is available with several dial finishes, from classic silver and black to galvanic blue. The hands are precisely diamond-cut, and their two slanted surfaces interact with incident light, ensuring excellent readability.

    ZW0103 – Zeitwinkel's proprietary movement

At the heart of the 273° model is the manufacture automatic caliber ZW0103, which Zeitwinkel developed specifically for this series.

The movement consists of 387 components and 49 jewels, operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, and offers more than 72 hours of power reserve. The automatic winding is bidirectional, and the caliber is regulated in five positions.

The big date is not an additional module placed on a standard movement. Its mechanism is a semi-integrated part of the ZW0103, and Zeitwinkel obtained a patent for the technical solution of its placement at 11 o'clock.

The bridges and robust three-quarter plate are made of German silver and hand-finished using traditional watchmaking techniques. Geneva stripes, perlage, brushed and polished edges, or precisely finished screws provide ample reasons to turn the watch over and observe the movement through the sapphire case back.

42.5 mm built around the caliber

The case, with a diameter of 42.5 mm and a height of 13.8 mm, was designed directly according to the dimensions of the manufacture ZW0103. It combines polished surfaces with distinctly structured parts and consists of 26 components, whose processing and assembly require more than 80 individual steps.

Sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating is found on both the front and back, and water resistance is 5 ATM.

    Why choose Zeitwinkel 273°?

Because it has its own identity and its own movement.

The patented big date at 11 o'clock, the asymmetrical dial composition, and the manufacture ZW0103 create a watch that you will recognize almost instantly. Yet, this is not a design effect at the expense of watchmaking – it is precisely the technical solution and the movement's construction that make the 273° truly interesting.

The Zeitwinkel 273° is not understated just to be understated. It is a very distinctive piece of independent Swiss watchmaking for those who want to know what they have on their wrist – and why.

    About the brand

Zeitwinkel is a small independent Swiss manufacture from Saint-Imier that takes a slightly different path than most of the watchmaking industry. Instead of a well-known logo, massive marketing, and large production numbers, it primarily relies on its own movements and traditional watchmaking craftsmanship.

The foundation of Zeitwinkel watches is their proprietary manufacture calibers, developed with an emphasis on robustness, precision, longevity, and serviceability. The brand combines modern precision manufacturing of individual components with their traditional manual finishing and assembly.

The result is watches intended primarily for those who seek independent Swiss watchmaking and are more interested in how and from what the watches were actually made than the name on the dial.
