About the author
Gisbert L. Brunner, born in 1947, has been involved with wristwatches, pendulum clocks, and other precision timekeeping devices since 1964. During the quartz watch crisis of the 1970s, his love for mechanical watches only grew. His passionate collecting hobby and extensive expertise led him to publish his first articles in magazines such as GQ, ZEIT, and Chronos from the early 1980s, and he has since written over 20 books on the subject.
