What the book contains

Across nearly three hundred pages, Haslinger systematically maps the most important Heuer models from the sixties to the eighties. Each chronograph is documented with detailed photographs of dials, movements, and characteristic details – in many cases, these are shots that have not been published anywhere else. In addition to technical documentation, the book features period racing posters and portraits of F1 drivers who raced with Heuer: Jacky Ickx, Niki Lauda, Clay Regazzoni, Jochen Rindt, Jo Siffert – and Steve McQueen in the iconic racing film Le Mans.

The text is presented in parallel in English and German. It includes a chronology and bibliography.

Author: Arno Michael Haslinger

Haslinger has been collecting Heuer watches for over 25 years and is one of the world's renowned experts on historical chronographs and vintage automobiles. After studying at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, he built a career in the luxury and automotive industries in Frankfurt, Paris, and London. In 2011, he founded the consulting firm TimeRace Consulting, works as a consultant for the auction house Bonhams Watches, and is a jury member of the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). His publications are considered standard works in Heuer literature.
