Stowa Marine Bronze Vintage 40 Arabic

The Marine Bronze Vintage 40 Arabic watch is housed in a 40 mm bronze case, featuring the characteristic STOWA vintage style with precisely executed finishing. Special attention is also given to the 925/000 silver dial, complemented by, exclusively, heat-blued hands in a brown hue, adding an elegant accent to the watch. The watch is powered by a Sellita SW210 mechanical movement with manual winding in Top Grade finish, which underlines the technical sophistication of the entire model.

Stowa Marine – elegance with roots in precise navigation

The Marine model line from the German brand Stowa is based on the tradition of marine chronometers, which played a crucial role in determining ship positions at sea since the 18th century. These precise and perfectly legible instruments were a symbol of reliability – and Stowa builds its Marine watches on their aesthetics and function. A clean white or silvery dial, finely printed black Roman or Arabic numerals, and distinctive leaf-shaped hands give the watches timeless elegance and high legibility, which was key for navigational instruments.

Stowa is among the brands that see these watches not just as a design legacy, but as a continuation of their own history. Already in the 1930s and 1940s, Stowa produced precise and robust watches for professional use – and today's Marine models directly follow this tradition. Each piece is assembled directly in Germany, cases and components come from proven German and Swiss suppliers, and the result is a product that combines historical fidelity with modern quality.

Stowa's Marine watches are therefore not just elegant dress watches – they are also an authentic piece of watchmaking history. Thanks to their combination of clean design, German craftsmanship, and connection to original chronometers, they represent an ideal choice for customers looking for a watch with a story, tradition, and timeless value.

    About the brand

The STOWA brand is one of the most significant representatives of German watchmaking, with its roots dating back to 1927 when Walter Storz founded it in the Black Forest. The name STOWA was formed by combining the first letters of the founder's surname and first name – "STO" and "WA" – and soon became a symbol of precise watchmaking craftsmanship. Already in the 1930s, the brand made its mark with elegant models inspired by the then-modern Bauhaus style, from which the later famous Antea series emerged.

The 1940s marked a turning point when STOWA began producing legendary aviator watches – the so-called Flieger. These large and highly legible timepieces were intended for pilots and became one of the pillars of the brand's history. Along with several other manufacturers, STOWA was among the five companies that supplied original pilot watches for the German Air Force. The Flieger are still considered icons today, and the brand continues this tradition with modern reissues that retain the original character and aesthetics.

After the war, STOWA continued to produce functional and elegant watches, including marine chronometers, which inspired today's Marine line. In the 1990s, a new chapter began when watchmaker Jörg Schauer took over the brand. Under his leadership, STOWA successfully returned to the scene and began to produce not only pilot models, but also timeless classics like Antea, Partitio, and Marine, which today combine historical roots with modern technology and precise craftsmanship.

Today, STOWA is perceived as a brand that maintains authenticity and respect for tradition, while appealing to mechanical watch enthusiasts worldwide. It combines history, timeless design, and German precision, thanks to which it remains a synonym for quality watchmaking craftsmanship even after nearly a hundred years.
