Sherpa OPS are mechanical diving watches that follow the classic concept of "true compressor" models from the 1960s, which were originally designed for professional and military divers. The 40 mm diameter, approximately 13.5 mm high stainless steel case uses the traditional EPSA-STOP bayonet closure system, which increases resistance to water pressure and ensures water resistance up to 200 meters (20 bar) in accordance with ISO 6425.

The watches are equipped with two MONOFLEX compressor crowns, which are not screw-down but operate on the principle of pressure tightness typical of compressor cases. The front is protected by a significantly domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, whose inner circumference is finely metallized to reduce unwanted glare.

The dial is slightly convex and designed with an emphasis on maximum legibility. Faceted hands minimize reflections, while the seconds hand, fully coated with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 in a striking orange hue, ensures immediate monitoring of the watch's operation even in low light conditions.

Inside the watch works the Mantramatic MM01 automatic movement, technically based on the Sellita SW200-1 caliber in Top Grade execution, which is further modified according to Sherpa brand specifications. The movement offers hours, minutes, central seconds, and date functions and has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. A unique element here is the symbolic "spiritual complication" in the form of microscopically laser-engraved Tibetan mantras located on selected gear trains of the movement, whose rotation is inspired by the principle of traditional Tibetan prayer wheels.

The Sherpa OPS model is supplied on a vulcanized Tropic-style rubber strap with a width of 20 mm, which ensures high wearing comfort and resistance to water and salty atmospheres. The watches are assembled in Europe with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and long-term reliability.

Sherpa OPS represents a modern reinterpretation of historical compressor dive watches, combining authentic construction, superb legibility, high functionality, and an original technical-philosophical concept, thus appealing to connoisseurs and collectors of mechanical watchmaking.

Mantramatic or the only watch with positive energy

Mantramatic represents a unique concept that can be described as the world's first "good vibes" mechanical watch. It is an original interpretation of traditional watchmaking mechanics, where technical precision is intertwined with the deep symbolism of Tibetan Buddhism. The basis is a custom-modified mechanical automatic movement, whose individual components carry microscopically laser-engraved mantras.

The design includes a special mantra disk with the inscription OM MANI PADME HUM and the possibility of adding a personal mantra intended for the specific wearer. The movement itself bears the engraving "may all beings be happy and free" and the mantra repeatedly appears on the seconds wheel, whose fine segmentation also serves as a precise measuring scale. Another mantra is laser-engraved on the escape wheel, which here fulfills not only a technical but also a symbolic function.

The escape wheel with engraved mantras functions on the same principle as Tibetan prayer wheels – with each rotation, it symbolically "sends out" messages of compassion, wisdom, and kindness. These microscopic prayer elements are hidden inside the Mantramatic movement, which is exclusively used in the Sherpa Ultradive and OPS models.

The Sherpa Watches brand consciously builds on the craftsmanship and technical quality of Swiss watchmaking pioneers and transfers the proven construction principles of the golden era of mechanical watches to the present. The design of the Ultradive and OPS models remains true to historical precedents, as their visual character is as strong today as it was half a century ago. Technically, however, current models significantly surpass their predecessors in terms of accuracy, water resistance, and overall durability.

The Mantramatic movement is not an ordinary automatic caliber. Thanks to the laser-engraved mantras, applied using a specially created Tibetan script, its rotating wheels constantly move during normal operation – thus, according to Buddhist tradition, "activating" the mantra millions of times a year. These details are not visible to the naked eye. They are not meant for inspection, but for experience. It is not a complication that can be observed, but an idea that can be worn.

Sherpa Watches is an independent watchmaking brand founded in 2019, aiming to build on the iconic Sherpa dive watches, originally produced by Enicar S.A. in the 1950s and 1960s. The current production of Sherpa Watches is based on the authentic construction principles of "true compressor" cases, whose water resistance increases with rising water pressure.
