The Seiko Prospex SLA025 is a prestigious limited edition that faithfully reinterprets Seiko's legendary professional diver's watch from 1968 – reference 6159-7001, the brand's first "Hi-Beat" diver's model. This modern re-edition model was introduced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this historic model and produced in a limited series of 1,500 pieces worldwide, making it a highly collectible watch within the Prospex collection.

The 44.8 mm stainless steel case utilizes a robust monocoque construction, which increases strength and ensures professional water resistance of 300 meters. The design respects the original 1968 model – the distinctive crown at 4 o'clock, the prominent diving bezel, and the legible black dial with LumiBrite luminescence.

At the heart of the watch is the in-house Seiko Caliber 8L55 automatic movement, developed based on technologies used in Grand Seiko. This hi-beat movement operates at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz) and offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours, ensuring high precision and stable operation.

A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the legible dial with applied indices and a date display at 3 o'clock. The watch is equipped with a silicone diver's strap and a unidirectional rotating bezel, allowing for safe time measurement during diving.

Thanks to the combination of historical inspiration, a hi-beat movement, and limited production, the Seiko SLA025 is among the most prestigious modern re-editions in the history of Seiko diver's watches.
