About the watch offered
The Seiko Prospex SRQ029J1 Chronograph 50th Anniversary watch celebrates 50 years since the introduction of the historic model with a mechanical caliber and automatic winding, which ushered in a new era of chronographs in 1969. This model builds on the brand's success and commemorates a significant milestone in the watchmaking world.
In the 1960s, there was a competition among brands such as Zenith, Heuer, Breitling, and Seiko for primacy in automatic chronographs. Seiko introduced its 6139 caliber, which became one of the first with a stopwatch function. The watch's design, known as "Panda," features a white dial and black sub-dials. The limited edition retains this design and adds an orange tip to the stopwatch's second hand.
The Seiko SRQ029J1 watch combines a sporty look and precise craftsmanship. It offers an automatic 8R48 movement with 34 jewels and a 45-hour power reserve. The steel case and bracelet are polished using the Zaratsu technique, which highlights the details. The watch has a sapphire crystal, a chronograph measuring up to 12 hours, and water resistance of 100 m. The date indicator is located between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions.
The limited edition consists of only 1000 pieces worldwide.
The watch was purchased from an authorized dealer in the Czech Republic in December 2019. The watch is in perfect visual and technical condition with no visible signs of wear.
The sale includes the complete packaging, including the warranty card.
