The main weapon of the UTD series is a case made of pure titanium (Grade 2). RZE also applies its patented UltraHex™ surface treatment, which increases the surface hardness to an impressive 1,200 Vickers (for comparison: ordinary stainless steel has around 200 Vickers). Thanks to this, the watch is extremely light on the wrist, but at the same time highly resistant to scratches and the corrosive effects of saltwater or sweat.
Digital module
Inside the case flows a purely digital blood. RZE developed its own custom multi-functional module, which it deliberately stripped of unnecessary functions to create the most stable and legible mechanism possible. No complicated browsing through hundred-page manuals – UTD offers exactly what you need in the field: a large, perfectly legible display with time, day of the week and date, stopwatch (with 1/100 s accuracy), multi-function alarm and hourly chime. The module is protected inside the case by a special shock-absorbing cushion against vibrations and impacts.
