MING Polymesh – Straight brings the unique construction of the original Polymesh to watches from other brands. Instead of the specific curved spring bars used for MING cases, it features standard 20mm straight quick-release spring bars, allowing it to be used on a wide range of watches with 20mm lug spacing.
And the fundamental concept of the Polymesh remains: to combine the strength and feel of a metal bracelet with the flexibility and comfort of a fabric strap.

The Polymesh – Straight is made from Grade 5 titanium using additive manufacturing. Its structure consists of an incredible 1,742 interconnected elements that are not manufactured separately and then assembled.
The entire movable structure is created simultaneously as one piece using laser sintering of titanium powder. More than 1,000 individual layers gradually form a bracelet whose individual links are already interconnected during production.
There are no traditional pins or screws. Even the integrated tuck buckle and its movable joint are created during the same printing process. The only subsequently added components are the quick-release spring bars.
Accuracy to 30 microns
Additive manufacturing is not used here just to make the Polymesh look different. It allows for the creation of a construction that would be virtually impossible to produce using traditional methods.
The tolerances between moving parts can be as little as 30 microns – less than the thickness of a human hair. If the gap were smaller, the individual parts would fuse together during production. If larger, the Polymesh would lose its characteristic fluidity of movement.
Furthermore, after several hours of printing, each piece undergoes finishing, where traces of the production process are removed and individual surfaces are adjusted so that the bracelet can move freely and be comfortable on the skin.
Bracelet strength, strap comfort
Extremely small moving elements allow the Polymesh to naturally follow the shape of the wrist. Therefore, it does not behave like a regular metal bracelet on the hand – it wraps around the wrist almost like a fabric strap, yet retains the feel, strength, and character of metal.
And despite its delicate construction, it is exceptionally durable. In laboratory destructive tests, it withstood a tensile force of nearly 1,000 N. The spring bar failed before the Polymesh structure itself.
Straight – this time for almost everyone
The original Polymesh was created specifically for the characteristically curved lugs of MING watches. However, the interest from owners of other watches led to the creation of the Straight version.
The construction remains the same, but the standard 20mm straight quick-release spring bars significantly expand compatibility. The Polymesh – Straight has thus become the very first MING product designed primarily for use on watches not manufactured by MING itself.
The standard size is intended for wrists of approximately 152–200 mm.
Why would you want the MING Polymesh – Straight?
Because it is one of the few cases where modern manufacturing technology truly creates something that could practically not have been created by classical methods.
1,742 moving parts, over 1,000 layers of titanium powder, tolerances of just 30 microns, and the entire mechanism printed as a single piece.
The result is not a technological demonstration that you will only admire on your desk. It is a light and exceptionally flexible titanium bracelet designed primarily for comfortable everyday wear.
And thanks to the Straight version, you no longer need a MING watch for it – a suitable 20mm lug width is enough.
