MD Watches Studio – Emerald Isle Shallow Sky
MD Watches Studio Emerald Isle
Emerald Isle is a collection of watches from the Irish brand MD Watches Studio, combining clean modern design with inspiration from Irish nature and cultural heritage. The name refers to the traditional designation of Ireland and also to William Drennan's 18th-century poem When Erin First Rose. The Irish landscape is reflected in the dial colors, which are available in four variants – Shallow Sky, Raincloud, Seafoam Zest, and Tangerine Dawn. Each dial combines a subtly structured multi-layered surface with distinctive electric blue indices and elegant dauphine hands. A practical detail is also a separate 24-hour sub-dial located at 6 o'clock.
The watch features a 39mm 316L stainless steel case, whose geometric shapes, integrated lugs, and combination of brushed surfaces create a very clean and contemporary look. The case is complemented by a convex sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and a screw-down case back with a view of the movement. Power is provided by the premium automatic Miyota 9132 movement, which also allows for manual winding, has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 26 jewels, and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.
The Emerald Isle comes on an integrated H-link steel bracelet with quick-release spring bars. The package also includes a leather strap with a delicate bamboo texture, which significantly changes its character. It is the combination of unusual colors, elaborate dial, integrated design, and high-quality mechanical movement that makes the Emerald Isle an interesting alternative to common sporty-elegant watches. It is a model for someone looking for a distinctive design and wanting something original on their wrist, but at the same time not wanting to compromise on quality craftsmanship and everyday wearability.
