Maen – MANHATTAN 37 ULTRA THIN – MBE.001

The Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin MBE.001 is the first timepiece in the new Boutique Exclusives series – an edition in which MAEN experiments with bolder designs and limited editions outside the standard collection. The MBE.001 dial is crafted using the fumé technique – a colour gradient from a lighter centre to a darker edge. The rich midday blue in the middle seamlessly transitions into a deep, almost nocturnal tone at the periphery. The surface features a Côtes de Genève pattern, whose parallel stripes scatter light into a spectrum of sparkles depending on the illumination. The result is a dial that constantly changes – never looking the same twice.

Applied polished indices and polished dauphine hands with Super-LumiNova® C1 luminescence sit on this transition like floating points in a deep ocean.

The switch to the La Joux-Perret D100 manual movement allowed MAEN to reduce the case thickness by 24% compared to the standard Manhattan 37 – from 9.3 mm to just 7.1 mm. This is not just a number. The watch sits flush on the wrist, a shirt cuff glides over it without friction, and the whole piece feels as if it has always belonged there. For formal occasions, this feature is unparalleled.

A diameter of 37 mm and a lug-to-lug length of 47.4 mm ensure that the model fits smaller wrists and remains legible without unnecessary visual bulk.

The integrated steel bracelet gradually tapers in width from the case to the butterfly clasp. The surface combines satin brushing with polished edges. A black integrated FKM strap is optionally available for a sportier look.
