About the model
The Maen Lunar Classic 36 (ref. M7.1.1) is a mechanical watch with automatic winding, combining a traditional lunar complication with a clean and balanced dial. The model is equipped with a Swiss-made Sellita SW280-1 mechanical movement in top grade, operating at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and offering approximately 40 hours of power reserve.
The dial is multi-layered, and its structure emphasizes the lunar complication without unnecessarily overloading the surface. The center of the dial is circularly brushed and contrasts with raised, highly polished indices and a seconds hand. The moon phase sub-dial features a fine sandblasted texture and is integrated into the overall composition at the 6 o'clock position, including a graduated chapter ring that connects to the outer perimeter of the dial. This complication displays the current phase of the lunar cycle.
The 36 mm diameter case is made of 316L stainless steel and complemented by a double-domed sapphire crystal. The surface finish combines a satin-brushed case with a highly polished bezel. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters and can be worn for everyday use.
The Maen Lunar Classic 36 is available with various dial options, including midnight blue and creamy white. The minimalist design of the indices, precise dial textures, and the integration of the moonphase complication create an aesthetically balanced whole that combines classic functionality with a distinctive visual character.

MAEN Watches is an independent watch brand founded in 2017 by Dutch designers Jules van Helvoort and Sebastiaan Cortjaens. The idea originated in Stockholm, where both lived and decided to create a brand combining Nordic sobriety with a Dutch sense of design and detail.
