The Maen Hudson 38 MK5 is a mechanical diver's watch designed with an emphasis on compact dimensions, high water resistance, and modern construction solutions. The fifth generation of the Hudson model series brings a redesigned case, an updated movement, and overall more balanced proportions suitable for everyday wear and true sports use.
The 38 mm diameter case is made of 316L stainless steel. The construction includes a screw-down crown and a screw-down case back, which allows for a water resistance of 300 meters. The top features a unidirectional rotating dive bezel with a ceramic insert and a luminescent reference mark for measuring elapsed time underwater. The watch is equipped with a domed box-type sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating.
The dial has a finely structured matte surface that reduces glare and improves legibility. Applied hour markers and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova luminescent material, ensuring good visibility in low light conditions. The dial layout corresponds to dive watches with an emphasis on immediate time orientation, with a central second hand for monitoring the movement's operation.
Inside, the Swiss automatic movement La Joux-Perret G100 operates. This is a mechanical caliber with automatic winding, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and a power reserve of approximately 68 hours. The movement displays hours, minutes, and central seconds and is designed with an emphasis on stable operation and longer autonomy without the need for frequent wear.
The model comes with an FKM rubber strap, which is resistant to moisture, sweat, and temperature changes. The strap is suitable for sports and water activities and is finished with a steel buckle. Alternatively, a steel bracelet with fine adjustment capability is available.

MAEN Watches is an independent watchmaking brand founded in 2017 by Dutch designers Jules van Helvoort and Sebastiaan Cortjaens. The idea originated in Stockholm, where they both lived and decided to create a brand combining Nordic sobriety with a Dutch sense of design and detail.
MAEN focuses on modern mechanical watches inspired by classic shapes from the 60s and 70s. Model lines such as Hudson, Skymaster, or Manhattan are based on historical archetypes, which the brand interprets in a contemporary way - with compact dimensions, precise craftsmanship, and Swiss movements.
