Islander Northport is a hi-beat dive watch. Named after the historic seaside village of Northport on Long Island's north shore, it evokes the feeling of life on the water. The embossed wave pattern on the dial, inspired by the surface of Long Island Sound, immediately catches your eye.
The case has a comfortable diameter of 40.5 mm and is just 12.5 mm thick. The lug-to-lug length is 47 mm, and the bracelet flows seamlessly into the case with no overhang, thanks to its negative end links. The fully brushed bracelet—brushed on both the top and sides of the links—visually blends with the case to form a single whole. The case sides and screw-down crown bearing the Islander logo feature the same finish.
The white dial features polished silver applied indices, generously filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 for a bright glow in the dark. The polished silver hands are treated with the same luminous material. A date window sits at the 6 o'clock position.
The Northport is powered by the Japanese Miyota 9015 mechanical movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The seconds hand ticks eight times per second, giving it an exceptionally smooth sweep. The movement supports manual winding and hacking (the seconds hand stops when setting the time). The power reserve is approximately 40 hours.
As a dive watch, the Northport is fully capable. Its 200 m water resistance exceeds the requirements for recreational diving. The unidirectional bezel has 120 clicks and a sapphire insert in a matching color scheme, complemented by a luminous scale. The sapphire insert is scratch-resistant, as is the flat, anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial.
The bracelet is secured with solid end links, and its length can be adjusted by removing or adding links. It tapers smoothly from 20 mm at the case to 16 mm at the clasp. The milled clasp features six-position micro-adjustment, allowing you to fine-tune the fit without tools.
The Northport is compatible with Seiko SKX007 bezels, inserts and crystals.
