The Islander Northport is a hi-beat dive watch. Named after the historic seaside village of Northport on Long Island's north shore, it evokes the feeling of life on the water. A glance at the dial reveals an embossed wave pattern inspired by the surface of Long Island Sound.
The case measures a comfortable 40.5 mm in diameter and just 12.5 mm thick. Its lug-to-lug length is 47 mm, and the bracelet flows seamlessly into the case with no overhang, thanks to its negative end links. The fully brushed bracelet—brushed on both the top and sides of the links—visually merges with the case as one cohesive whole. The case sides and screw-down crown, which bears the Islander logo, feature the same finish.
The dial fades from khaki blue to white and features polished silver applied indices generously filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 for a blue glow in the dark. The polished silver hands are treated with the same luminous material. The date window is positioned at 6 o’clock.
The Northport is powered by the Japanese Miyota 9015 mechanical movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour—the seconds hand ticks eight times per second, giving it an exceptionally smooth sweep. The movement features manual winding and hacking (the seconds hand stops when setting the time). The power reserve is approximately 40 hours.
As a dive watch, the Northport is fully equipped for the task. Its 200 m water resistance exceeds the requirements of recreational diving. The unidirectional rotating bezel has 120 clicks and a sapphire insert with a luminous scale. The sapphire insert is scratch-resistant, as is the flat, anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial.
The bracelet is secured with solid end links and can be adjusted by removing links. It tapers smoothly from 20 mm at the case to 16 mm at the clasp. The milled clasp features six-position micro-adjustment, allowing for precise, tool-free sizing.
The Northport is compatible with Seiko SKX007 bezels, inserts, and crystals.
