Prestex Chronograph
The Prestex Lostock Quartz Chronograph is a sports chronograph that represents a fairly significant milestone in the British brand's Prestex range. The Lostock was the brand's first round model and also Prestex's first 40mm watch. Although its design is more contemporary and sporty than the Parker or Bolton models, it loses none of the brand's characteristic British signature.
The name Lostock refers to the area of Bolton of the same name, which is closely associated with the Duckworth family. This is where the Bolton Golf Club and Bolton Tennis Club are located, where Neil Duckworth and previous generations of his family played. The name is not a random designation of the model, but a reference to a place to which the family behind Prestex has a personal connection. And sporting inspiration was naturally reflected in the watch itself.
The Lostock features a 40mm 316L stainless steel case that combines sporty character with relatively compact dimensions. The lug-to-lug length is 47mm and the thickness is 13mm. A flat sapphire crystal provides high scratch resistance, and the screw-down crown, together with the screw-down caseback, contribute to an impressive 200-meter water resistance. For a chronograph watch, this is a very practical combination – the Lostock doesn't have to stay on your wrist just for a city outing.
The dial offers a classic chronograph layout with a 60-minute counter and a running second hand, complemented by a date display. And this is where the Lostock gets its distinctive character. Prestex offers several color variations, from more understated to distinctly sporty options. Selected models feature, for example, contrasting sub-dials in the "panda" style, vibrant orange or yellow colors. The hands and applied indices are treated with Super-LumiNova BGW9, so the watch's sporty character goes hand in hand with good legibility.
Inside, a Miyota 6S21 quartz chronograph movement operates. It offers hour, minute, second, 60-minute chronograph, and date functions, with a declared accuracy of −10/+20 seconds per month. The quartz solution makes sense here – the Lostock is designed as a robust and practical sports chronograph, where you will appreciate its accuracy, simplicity, and minimal demands for everyday use.
The watch can be combined with a beads of rice steel bracelet, which gives the model an interesting retro touch, or with a shaped rubber strap in black, blue, or red. Thanks to quick-release spring bars, the watch's appearance can be easily changed to suit the occasion.
The Lostock is a Prestex that's a little different. It's sportier, more distinctive, and more contemporary than the elegant Parker or the retro Bolton, yet it retains the same emphasis on story and detail. It offers a practical chronograph, sapphire crystal, 200-meter water resistance, and a sensible 40mm case. If you're looking for a sports chronograph that doesn't look like another run-of-the-mill model inspired by Swiss classics, the Lostock is definitely worth a look.

About the brand
Prestex is an independent British watch brand built on the Duckworth family's more than a century-old story. Its roots go back to 1869, when the family company Prestons of Bolton was founded. In the 1920s, watches were produced under the Prestex name for customers around the world. The historical experience with chronographs, pocket watches, and elegant dress watches now forms the basis on which the brand builds its modern collections.
Today's Prestex is led by Neil Duckworth, who has many years of experience in the watch industry and was involved in launching the TAG Heuer brand in the UK in the 1980s. Prestex watches are designed in England and combine British design tradition with modern materials and Swiss and Japanese watchmaking. The brand remains independent and produces its collections in limited quantities.
