Prestex Broadgate GMT Automatic are modern British watches for those who want to combine distinctive design with the practical function of a second time zone. The Broadgate collection is named after Broadgate in the City of London, one of the British capital's most important financial centres. And the urban character of London is reflected in the watches – they are confident, distinctive and contemporary, while retaining the typical Prestex design elements.
The dominant feature of this variant is the white dial with prominent red accents. The characteristic Arabic numerals are based on the typography Prestex uses across its collections, giving the watch a distinctive British signature. The red GMT hand clearly distinguishes the second time from the main time, while creating a striking colour contrast. The hands and indices are equipped with Super-LumiNova BGW9, so legibility remains very good even in low light conditions.
The heart of the Broadgate GMT is the Miyota 9075 GMT automatic movement, which offers a true GMT function. Unlike common "office GMT" solutions, the 24-hour GMT hand can be set independently here, which is particularly practical when travelling between time zones. The watch is therefore not just a design statement, but a truly useful travel tool.
The 316L stainless steel case has a diameter of 40 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 47 mm and a thickness of approximately 13 mm. A flat sapphire crystal protects the dial from scratches and a transparent sapphire case back allows a view of the automatic movement. A water resistance of 200 metres takes the Broadgate significantly further than ordinary dress GMT watches. This combination makes the model a very versatile watch – it works equally well in the city, on a business trip or on holiday.
The white dial is complemented by a black rubber strap, which gives the watch a sportier and more relaxed character. Thanks to the quick-release system, the strap can be easily changed, adapting the Broadgate to different occasions in an instant. A steel bracelet or other colour variants of rubber straps are also available (on request).
The Broadgate GMT Automatic is Prestex for a new generation. It has enough character not to blend in with ordinary sports GMT watches, but at the same time offers a practical complication, 200 metres water resistance, sapphire crystal and a compact 40mm case. And it is precisely the combination of distinctive British design and truly usable GMT function that makes it a watch that makes sense not only to look at, but above all on the wrist.

About the brand
Prestex is an independent British watch brand, building on the more than century-old story of the Duckworth family. Its roots go back to 1869, when the family company Prestons of Bolton was founded. In the 1920s, watches were produced under the Prestex name for customers all over the world. Historical experience with chronographs, pocket watches and elegant dress watches now forms the basis on which the brand continues with its modern collections.
Today's Prestex is led by Neil Duckworth, who has many years of experience in the watch industry and was instrumental in introducing the TAG Heuer brand to the British market in the 1980s. Prestex watches are designed in England and combine British design tradition with modern materials and Swiss and Japanese watchmaking. The brand remains independent and produces its collections in limited quantities.
