About the Model
The tradition of the DELMA Shell Star model dates back to 1975, when the DELMA brand introduced its first professional diving watch bearing this name. This model became a significant milestone in the brand's history and laid the foundation for an extensive line of diving watches that define its sporty DNA to this day.
The current generation of the Shell Star model maintains its reputation as an exceptionally durable and reliable timepiece. The brushed stainless steel case is equipped with a screw-down crown, which enhances the protection of the movement and ensures water resistance up to 200 meters (660 feet). The distinctive unidirectional rotating bezel in black, along with applied orange luminous indices, allows for precise time measurement and excellent readability in all light and underwater conditions.
The smooth blue dial is complemented by a contrasting white date window with an orange frame, which enhances clarity and adds a sporty accent to the watch. Inside is a quartz movement, securely enclosed under a solid case back with an engraved DELMA logo. The watch is fitted with a high-quality leather strap, which underlines its versatile character and allows for comfortable everyday wear.
The DELMA Shell Star represents a classic diving watch that combines historical heritage, functionality, and timeless design, suitable for both everyday wear and professional diving use.

About the Brand
Delma is a Swiss watchmaking brand with over a century of tradition, specializing in the production of sports and diving watches. It was founded in 1924 by brothers Adolf and Albert Gilomen in Lengnau, Switzerland, under the name A. & A. Gilomen S.A.
Initially, they registered four brands: Thuya, Midland, Delma, and Gil.
The name Delma first appeared on watches in 1933 and gradually became the company's main brand. In 1966, Ulrich Wüthrich took over the company and renamed it Delma Watch Ltd. In 1996, he handed over the management of his company to his son-in-law, Fred Leibundgut, who is the current chairman of the board and CEO. Delma remains a family-owned company and is still based in Lengnau, where it was originally founded.
Delma is known for its production of high-quality sports watches, including diving models, which are valued for their durability and reliability. Its well-known models include series such as Shell Star and Blue Shark, which are popular among divers and adventurers. The brand also collaborates with IMOCA 60 and is the official timekeeper of the Transat New York-Vendée race, which led to the creation of the Oceanmaster collection.
Delma prides itself on its long history and commitment to producing high-quality watches that combine traditional Swiss craftsmanship with modern design and technology.
