Puri 6 Silver II represents the second generation of iconic desk clocks by Czech designer and Nixie tube manufacturer Dalibor Farný. Their design is based on a simple concept – to let the beauty of six Nixie glass tubes stand out, their characteristic orange glow reminiscent of the golden era of electronics in the 60s and 70s. The six Nixie tubes display hours, minutes, and seconds, creating an impressive light composition that is constantly changing.

There is an extraordinary story behind every glowing digit. Dalibor Farný decided to revive the almost forgotten craft of manufacturing Nixie tubes, whose industrial production ended in the 1990s. In his workshop in Březolupy, Moravia, he gradually mastered the demanding processes of working with glass, metal, vacuum, and gas fillings. Today, Nixie tubes are made here by hand, with an emphasis on precision, quality, and the preservation of unique technology.

The second generation of Puri retains the clean, timeless design of the original, but brings significantly simpler operation. The time can be set directly on the clock using three buttons, without the need to install an app or connect to the internet. The Simple mode offers easy daily use, while the Expert mode provides access to additional settings and functions via Wi-Fi. All functions run directly on the clock, without reliance on cloud services.

The elegant Silver finish underlines the industrial character of the clock and lets the Nixie tubes themselves stand out. With dimensions of 530 × 140 × 140 mm, the Puri 6 becomes a striking design object that connects technical history with contemporary interiors.

Power is provided by modern USB-C Power Delivery, with a typical consumption of approximately 8 W. A CR2032 backup battery preserves the time even when disconnected from power.

Dalibor Farný is a Czech manufacturer who is the only one in the world specializing in the manual production of modern Nixie tubes. His workshop in the Czech Republic builds on the tradition of a technology that vanished in the 90s, and after more than ten years of development, he has managed to restore the complete production process – from glass blowing to vacuum technology. Thanks to his work, Nixie tubes, originally used in aviation and early computers, have once again become a symbol of precision craftsmanship and collector's exclusivity.
