Brew Metric – PVD Black

The Brew PVD Black Metric is a chronograph wristwatch, built on a meca-quartz movement that combines a quartz-based timekeeping foundation with a mechanically designed chronograph module. This concept allows for high precision in basic timekeeping while also providing a characteristic mechanical feel when operating the chronograph.

The dial is executed in a matte black shade, which minimizes reflections and enhances legibility. The layout is functionally oriented and based on measuring instruments: central hands display hours, minutes, and the chronograph second, while subdials are used to read the elapsed chronograph time. A fine minute scale is located around the circumference of the dial, allowing for precise reading of short time intervals. All graphic elements are designed with an emphasis on contrast and clarity.

The case is made of stainless steel and features a black PVD coating, which unifies the watch's appearance and increases the surface's resistance to wear. The case shape with integrated lugs is inspired by the design of 1970s sports watches, while maintaining compact proportions suitable for everyday wear. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal.

The meca-quartz movement used features a mechanical cam system chronograph, which gives the pushers a clearly defined feel and the central chronograph hand instantly returns to the zero position upon reset. The operation of the chronograph thus feels closer to classic mechanical solutions than to ordinary quartz chronographs.
