The Baltic HMS 002 is a mechanical watch with automatic winding, harmoniously blending 1940s-inspired design with modern execution suitable for everyday wear and formal occasions. The model belongs to the HMS series, characterized by a three-hand time display and compact case proportions.
The case is made of 316L stainless steel with a diameter of 38 mm, an overall thickness of approximately 13 mm (without crystal ~10 mm), and a lug width of 20 mm for a strap or bracelet. The construction combines horizontally brushed surfaces on the mid-case with a finely polished bezel, creating a subtle contrast and a delicate vintage touch. The watch has a water resistance of 50 m/5 ATM, suitable for everyday activities. The dial is protected by a high-domed hesalite crystal, which contributes to the model's retro aesthetic.
The dial features a sector layout with a combination of textures — the main surface most often has matte finishes complemented by circularly brushed areas (chapter ring) framing the indices. The applied indices and "leaf" or "feuille" hands are proportionally balanced and complement the structured sector design. Various color variants feature different accents for the indices and hands, as well as surface contrasts — for instance, the black dial version typically has hands with a contrasting finish against the background, while other versions use different color combinations to highlight dial details.
Inside, the watch is powered by an automatic Miyota 8315 movement, offering a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The caliber displays hours, minutes, and central seconds and is equipped with a hacking function, allowing the second hand to stop for precise time setting.
The Baltic HMS 002 comes with an Italian leather strap, or optionally with a "beads of rice" or "flat link" stainless steel bracelet, which can be easily interchanged thanks to the standard 20 mm lug width.
The Baltic HMS 002 is an elegant, compact automatic watch with a historically inspired dial, available in various colorways. The most common dial variants include: Black, Silver, Blue Gilt, and Gold PVD Black (which utilize different accents and finishes for the indices and hands).
