The Baltic Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or Limited Edition is a mechanical chronograph wristwatch created as the official timepiece for the Transat Café L’Or transatlantic regatta. The model is based on the Scalegraph collection and combines a classic chronograph layout with features designed for marine use. It is a limited edition of 200 pieces.
The case is made of 316L stainless steel, with a diameter of 39.5 mm and a height of approximately 14 mm. The construction ensures water resistance up to 100 meters. The fixed bezel is fitted with an aluminum insert with a tachymetric scale calibrated for nautical miles and knots, allowing for approximate calculation of vessel speed. The front is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside of the crystal. The case back is solid, screwed, with an engraving related to the regatta and the limited edition marking.
The dial has a light / metallic champagne hue and a classic chronograph layout. The central hand measures chronograph seconds. At 9 o'clock, there is a small seconds sub-dial. At 3 o'clock, there is an enlarged fifteen-minute big-eye sub-dial, designed for precise measurement of short time intervals, especially during regatta starting procedures. A date window is integrated at 6 o'clock. The indices and hands are designed with an emphasis on readability and correspond to the sporty character of the model.
The watch is powered by a Swiss mechanical hand-wound Sellita SW511 BH movement. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 63 hours. The chronograph function is handled by a cam mechanism with a horizontal clutch, which corresponds to the traditional design of sports chronographs in this category.
The model comes on a stainless steel beads of rice bracelet with a butterfly clasp, or with an FKM rubber strap. Both systems are equipped with quick-release spring bars for easy changing.
The Baltic Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or Limited Edition will appeal to those interested in a classically designed mechanical chronograph with a marine theme, functional measuring scales, and a hand-wound movement in a limited number of pieces.
