About the Model
GMT watches originated in the cockpits of transatlantic flights during the 1960s. Pilots needed to track both home time and local time simultaneously—at a glance, without the need for mental calculations. The Aquascaphe GMT honors this tradition while bringing it into the modern era: a fourth hand indicates a second time zone in a 24-hour format, while a bidirectional bezel allows for the reading of a third. A single glance at your wrist is all it takes.
The bidirectional, 24-click bezel features a sapphire insert—a scratch-resistant material that, unlike ceramic, retains a sense of transparent depth. The scale is split into light (day) and dark (night) halves, making it immediately apparent whether it is morning or evening in the second time zone. The insert's color scheme varies by model variant.
The glossy black dial contrasts with the indices and hands, which are treated with Super-LumiNova® C1 luminous material; this glows a vibrant green in the dark while remaining unobtrusive in daylight. A date window at the 6 o'clock position rounds out the watch's functionality without creating visual clutter. Each variant introduces unique color accents on the bezel and dial details, adding character and individuality to the design.
The Swiss-made Soprod C125 automatic movement was selected for its robustness and reliability under demanding conditions. It features a 42-hour power reserve, a hacking function, and an integrated GMT complication. A screw-down crown ensures water resistance of 100 m / 10 ATM—the Aquascaphe GMT handles both diving and everyday water exposure with ease.
The case back features an engraving inspired by global time zones—a subtle detail that pays homage to the watch's original purpose. The lugs are drilled, allowing for tool-free strap changes.

About the Brand
Baltic Watches is an independent French watch brand founded in 2017 by Etienne Malec. Born from a personal passion for watches and inspired by his father’s collection, the brand has established itself by combining classic 20th-century watchmaking principles with modern design and high-quality materials.
Baltic emphasizes aesthetic purity, straightforward functionality, and harmonious dial proportions. Each model is designed with careful attention to typography, the layout of hour markers, and the overall composition of elements, ensuring a clear and visually balanced result. The brand utilizes traditional watchmaking materials—such as sapphire crystal, stainless steel, and titanium—alongside mechanical movements with either manual or automatic winding. Baltic’s approach also incorporates distinctive materials, such as the natural stone dials found in the Prismic Stone collection, which lend the watches a unique visual character.
