Baltic Aquascaphe Dual-Crown
The compressor case is one of the most characteristic designs in the history of diving watches. Two crowns on opposite sides, an inner bezel protected by sapphire crystal, a robust silhouette - these are the signs of a watch created for work underwater, which also looks great above it. The Baltic Aquascaphe Dual-Crown takes up this tradition and adds a French sense of proportion and detailed workmanship.
The crown at 2 o'clock serves exclusively to control the internal bidirectional bezel. It is not screw-in, intentionally so that it can be turned even underwater without compromising the 200 m water resistance. The crown at 4 o'clock, on the other hand, is screw-in and provides winding and adjustment of the movement. Each does its job and nothing more. There are visible traces of hand-working on the engraved raster surface of both crowns.
There is no date on the dial. On purpose. The Dual-Crown dial is designed with an emphasis on easy readability – simple index shapes, hands and bezel covered with Super-LumiNova® BGW9, sunray finish in the color of the variant. Nothing that would unnecessarily distract from what you really need to know underwater.
