About the book

The Horological Academy of Independent Creators (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants, AHCI) celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2020: this is more than a third of a century of complete independence, creativity, exhibitions and sharing of the watchmaking craft. AHCI, the oldest organization in the world dedicated to the protection of independent artisanal watchmaking, presents here an intimate portrait of its members and candidates. Here they share their most famous creations and their know-how, offer guided tours of their workshops and provide a glimpse into their private world.
