About the author
Rebecca Struthers – award-winning designer, horologist, and historian
Rebecca hails from Birmingham, and at just 17, she embarked on a journey that gradually made her one of Britain's most prominent horologists. She started as a jeweler and goldsmith with a passion for creating intricate jewelry with moving parts. But she soon discovered a way to combine her love for craftsmanship with an interest in science – in the field of horology, the measurement of time and clockmaking.
Education became a lifelong passion for her, which she successfully combined with practice. Vandaag, she is a renowned "watch doctor" and in 2017 became the first female horologist in British history to earn a doctorate in horology.
